Sizing & measurement
Every listing carries two numbers: the size stamped in the shoe, and the insole measured by hand. The second one is the useful one.
Measure a shoe that fits you
Take a shoe you already wear comfortably. Pull the insole out if it lifts; if it is glued down, run a tape along the inside from the back of the heel to the tip of the toe. Write the number down in centimetres. Match it against the Insole, measured figure on any listing. Within 0.3 cm is a fit.
Why the tagged size is only half the story
A tagged EU 42 from one brand is not a tagged EU 42 from another, and thrifted pairs have often been stretched or compressed by a previous owner. The tagged size is recorded because it is a fact about the object, and the size stamp is photographed so you can see it yourself. The insole measurement is what actually predicts fit.
Conversions
Every listing shows the tagged size in its own system plus the other two, derived from a single conversion table. Those conversions are a convenience — they are not measured, and they do not override the insole figure.
Still unsure
Email before you buy with the insole length of a shoe that fits you, and you will get a straight answer about whether a given pair will work. A return nobody needed helps neither of us.
